StandardAero has officially opened its significantly expanded business aviation maintenance facility at Augusta Regional Airport (KAGS) in Georgia, marking a major investment in the regional MRO market.
Expansion Details
The project represents a 60% increase to the existing facility, bringing the total campus to 210,000 square feet. The expansion includes:
- 80,500 square feet of new hangar space
- Enhanced engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities
- Expanded airframe services for large cabin business jets
- Advanced avionics services
- Improved customer amenities
Engine Capabilities
The Augusta facility is the exclusive independent heavy overhaul provider for the Honeywell HTF7000 engine, a popular powerplant found on aircraft including the Bombardier Challenger 300/350 and Embraer Legacy 450/500.
Additional engine services include:
- TFE731 turbofan engines
- GTCP36 auxiliary power units (APUs)
- Engine component repair services
The new engine shop facility is expected to be fully operational in the first half of 2026.
